Commercial Description:
The brewers of Anderson Valley had to conjure the High Priestess of Fermentation to help them formulate and create this rare hand-crafted elixer. It is luxuriant, smooth, more that a little wild, and at 10% alcohol, it's bound to raise your spirits. Open the Bottle and greet the High Priestess. You are worthy.

Pours golden, slight haze, thin head that doesn’t last. Nose reminds me of a mead that I had recently, honeyed with some lighter fruits in the mix. Palate is sugary sweet, pears, peaches, apricot, and noticeable alcohol on the finish. Seems to be a cross between a golden ale and a tripel to me.

Just barely a funky/sour aroma. Flavor is not very interesting. Huge alcohol and sweetness, but nothing to capture the tastebuds... ends up feeling like nothing but sweetness plus massive alcohol.

650 ml. bottle. Pours a very clear, light orange with a small, off-white head. Sweet boozy aroma with strong hints of stone fruit. Medium carbonation with a medium and slightly sticky mouthfeel. Apple, pear, a bit of honey, light floral notes, a touch of yeast, and a little alcohol on the palate. Almost like a sweet wine. Medium finish with some lingering fruit sweetness. This makes a great after dinner drink in place of dessert.

Pours a clear orange with a moderate head with poor retention and no lace. Aroma is green apple and honey. Tastes quite pleasant - good tripel malting with just a tang of sour apple and some zippy hops. Balanced. Nice. Great carb, nice crisp body. Quaffable - not sure why it scored so poorly - perhaps on account of the rather 2-dimensional taste profile.

Pours hazy orange with medium cream head that quickly diminishes. Nose is very malty with an apricot/citrus backbone. Honey, apricot, and yeast predominate in the taste, with some rather spicy wild yeast notes. Medium body. Strong alcohol taste. I don’t think it’s that sweet. It’s not bad at all.

Tap at Barcade: Deep orange pour with a golden off white ring of head. Very sweet honeyish aroma with a bread crust note underneath candy sugar and sweet rotted prunes & apples. Too sweet overall- sticky body with overripe prunes. Under attenuated, sugary, like many U.S. examples of the style.
