Brown with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, coffee and chocolate. The flavour went the same way with breadish notes to add.

Bottled. A dark chestnut colored beer with a tan head. The aroma has notes of caramel, nuts, roasted malt, and bread. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, bread, roasted malt, and chocolate, leading to a dry and very bitter finish.

22 fl oz bottle. Pours dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted malty and hoppy. Dry to flat roasted malty flavoured. Mild vanilla and chocolate note. Lingering and roasted malty flavoured into the far finish. Lingering roasted and bitter finish. Mild liqourice note.

Dark, dark chocolate brown; almost black. Thick cardboard brown head, a web of lace. Very appealing nutty cocoa and dry mocha aroma; hazelnut and sweet chocolate. Nutty brown-ale taste, moreso than any porter. Roasted mocha malts as it warms up; more hazelnut, brown sugar, dark raisins. Dry and sandpapery feel, smooth on the back end with a bite at the swallow. A good porter, more like a brown, but it evolves.

bottle from the bman... typical porter color capped by a thin tan head. the aroma is fairly typical as well... chocolate, roast, coffee, cream, wood and some dark dried fruitiness. the palate is dry throughout and has just a touch of bitterness. flavors of nutty chocolate/cocoa, light roast/toasted grain, caramel, grass, coffee, flowers and spice. tongue numbing hops clean everything up for the next sip. thin to medium bodied, prickly and sharp from fizzy aggressive carbonation. when it calms the beer is left a bit lifeless. aside from that, it tastes solid. 7/3/7/2.5/15/3.45

Pours mahogany-tinged black into an English pint. Tan micro head with excellent retention slowly recedes to coat surface. Dusty fig and cocoa aromas. Smooth caramel upfront, turning a little thin with roasted chocolate in the lasting finish.

$2.99 bomber @ Bottle Barn, no date. Clear deep brown with a 1 1/2 finger beige head, good retention. Mainly chocolate and caramel in the aroma with a little roasted and toasted grain. Flavor was much the same with some light pine hops added. Dark chocolate roasty malt finish, bitterness @ a 3. Light to moderate carbonation with a smooth medium body. Pretty good porter.

Bottle from an unknown location. Poured a dark brown with a small head. Light nutiness with coffee and chocolate flavors. Nice roasty malt flavor made this one smooth on the palate.
