| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 25, 2009 (Bottle) Pours deep golden with medium off-white head. The aroma is of floral, spicy and light citric hops. Some cookie tones from the too clean malt. Light doughy yeast alongside light fruitiness. Lemon and oranges. Light oxidized. Almost a bit vegetal and metallic. The flavour is light to medium sweet, medium bitter and light acidic. Citric, resinous and light floral with hard, cookie-like malt. The finish is drier with a medium to heavily grapefruit peel/earthy/piny (lingering) bitterness. The mouthfeel starts soft but the finish is too astringent. Medium carbonation. Medium bodied. The bitterness is a bit out of balance, as many other Anderson Valley beers. tarjei (1758), Bryne, Norway

Hazy golden colour, big white head. Moderate but pleasant aroma of fruity American hops. The flavour has first a distinct malty sweetness, immediately followed by a powerful hoppiness. And the nose lead me on further, with orange and pine with caramel. And on the palate there is a creamy version of the same flavours, with the malt a bit bready. I like the balance of the malt and hops, I think it is a bit hard done by, Frovigalning (464), , Sweden
