Commercial Description:
Hop-Heads, your dreams have come true! Hop Ottin' is Boontling for "hardworking hops," and they're surely hard at work in this brew. Hop Ottin' starts with a strong floral aroma, which winds into a deep and complex body. In an intriguing balance, honey-drenched malts coat rich hop undertones. At length, the hops prevail, with a satisfyingly crisp finish. Hop Ottin' bites like a cankicky bluetail (Hop Ottin' bites like a rattlesnake looking for a fight.)

Pours an orangey hue with a puffy white head. Huge pine aroma with some caramel towards the back. Flavor goes from sweet to an intense hop rush and then back to sweeter at the end. Very tasty IPA, another winner from AV.

Pours dark amber-copper with a 2 finger light tan head that has great retention. Aroma is heavy on pine hops, a little floral and a good amount of caramel malts thrown in to back it up. Flavor starts with caramel malt, a little toffee and and odd creamy vanilla right in the middle. The finish is nice and crisp grapefruit bitterness, bitter hops, grass, and some musty wet clay. All around a solid IPA. I just finished a Goose Island Bourbon County Stout so I may have to re-rate this if the massive stout threw my senses off.

Mmmm...like sniffin a pine tree. Deep, rich golden color with a tight well formed foam. Grass, citrus rind and biscuity malt to balance it out. Despite the abv this beer finishes nice and dry. Damn fine ale. 6/4/7/4/16

Bottle. Pours a dark orange color with a large, bright white head. Lacing is very good. Aroma is all hops, with hops of citrus and pine mainly owning the smell. Smooth and creamy texture with a nice balance of bitter and smooth aftertaste. Good IPA.

Had it on tap at the Yard House. Tasty and hoppy. Aroma is pungent and spicy - notes of pine and grapefruit. Amber/orange in color with a thin fading head. Flavor is sweet, then citrusy, then strongly bitter in the finish. Almost more bitterness than the malt can handle, but still pretty solid. Bah, I’m a sucker for IPAs in any state.

Bottle. Pour is a coppery amber with a smallish head and aromas of floral hops, a bit of a scotch-like peatiness and some mild caramel malts undertones. Flavor is much heavier in malt than I expected from the nose, and the hops balance things out nicely… a bit of a floral and resin bite balance things out nicely and finish with a scotch-ale-like aftertaste. This is pretty good, but it reminds me more of a scotch ale than an IPA.

12 ounce bottle. Pours an orange-amber color with a large off-white head. Nice lacing and retention. Floral and citrus hop aroma. Bitter hops taste, primarily citrus, with some leafy notes and malty sweetness. Medium bodied with a sticky texture.

A copper colored pour with an attractive golden orange head that fades slowly and unevenly. Thick oily lacing remains. Plenty of visible carbonation. Aroma is sweet, floral, fruity, and lightly spicy. Quite bitter with all kinds of stuff going on in the flavor. Grapefruit that grows in prominence, light caramel, pine, honeysuckle, and candy cookies. Complex, interesting, and tasty!
