Jun 24, 2008 bottle. Pours a deep amber color with a big inch-thick fluffy head that sticks around, lots of active carbonation and lacing. Loads of hops on the nose, huge grapefruit bite. Flavors follow the nose- all hops. Big sharp bitterness, loads of grapefruit citrus flavors, with minimal and muted malt flavors. Definitely on the unbalanced side of IPAs, and clearly intended to be that way. Average on the palate, if a bit on the light and thin side.

Jun 24, 2008 I really enjoyed this very complex IPA. Ha a full gamut of delicious hops, from a pine resin flavor over to a spice and fruit vibe as well. All well-balanced by some pleasant malt backbone. 7% alcohol was nicely veiled by the flavors but still noticeable. I’d gladly order this again and again.

Jun 20, 2008 Bottle, from Douglas88. Thanks! Luminous orange pour, nice layer of butter-colored head that leaves thick sticky lace as it settles. Fresh tangerine aroma with a twist of ginger and melon. A little dark caramel edge. Full pine and grapefruit peel bitterness, sturdy and rustic, with a nice raw hop plant quality. A marmalade sweetness that is mostly hidden under the hop onslaught, but lingers a bit in the finish. Alcohol present and noticeable, but not distracting from the enjoyment of this no-nonsense IPA.

Jun 19, 2008 From a bottle, pours a hazy copper with fluffy white head. Aroma of pine and some floral hops. Flavors of more piney hops, caramel and a hint of metal in thefirst few drinks but wentaway . very bitter, piney ipa.

Jun 15, 2008 Amber pour with thin white head. Pney citrus aroma with floral hops. Malt and honey with some yeast yields to some big hops and pine. Almost too muc hops and bitterness, but very nice overall.

Jun 12, 2008 Pours a clear amber body with a decent head. Plenty of hop character and floral aroma in the head. The first taste comes across slightly dry with a tiny kick of citrus and it finishes bitter yet very smooth. WIsh it had a little more structure.
