Commercial Description:
Hop-Heads, your dreams have come true! Hop Ottin' is Boontling for "hardworking hops," and they're surely hard at work in this brew. Hop Ottin' starts with a strong floral aroma, which winds into a deep and complex body. In an intriguing balance, honey-drenched malts coat rich hop undertones. At length, the hops prevail, with a satisfyingly crisp finish. Hop Ottin' bites like a cankicky bluetail (Hop Ottin' bites like a rattlesnake looking for a fight.)

Reddish blond, with a thin foamy head. Smells of berries, blueberries and raspberries, as well as hops. Maybe a hint of pine. Hoppy flavor, but not overpowering. There is a citrusy flavor under all those hops; blood orange I think. Rather smooth. Palate is just about perfect for style.

A lightly hazed orange golden brown with a thin dense cream colored head. Big floral hops with a rich malt backbone, bordering on caramel. A bit of a honey sort of sweetness, Light cinnamon sort of spice? A bit of toast, which I don’t normally like in an IPA or hoppy beer, but it’s not bad here. Smooth creamy mouthfeel, a bit viscous. Hops a bit past prime. Fadded toasty floral hops. A bit of that grapefruit seed, particularly in the finish. A bit of caramel, making this darker than most IPAs, but not bad at all really. A bit of cinnmaon, again, against some of that honey sort of sweetness. A big bit of bitter bite in the finish. Longer and lingering. I’d like to try a fresher bottle.

12oz. Rich Golden pour with a lively white head. Fairly typical nose with possibly the slightest notion of wintergreen. Solid body with moderate carbonation and intriguing notes of orange peel. Pleasant finish with little to no bitterness. Alcohol is well hidden. Will definitely return to this one once I’ve tried all the others :-)

Aroma had evident floral notes with lots of spiciness. Beer poured quite cloudy with a big head, which slowly disipates. color was a light amber. flavor was lots of spiciy hops, not a lot of citrus. Malt is there, but that’s about it. medium palate. pretty typical but good ipa.
