Taste starts off sweet with red fruits and toffee, then gets down to an exceptional, but still balanced, bitterness in the finish. Top-notch IPA. burpfrank (292), carpinteria, California, USA

Not sure what they meant though. This was a nice IPA that lived up to its name. Hop Ottin’, means it has bite and it did. Touche (57), New York, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 2, 2007 pours a clear gold copper with a nice two finger fluffy off white head. aroma is orange peel hops with a touch of pine and malt. has a light to medium body with descent carbonation and lacing. flavor is the same as aroma and has a syrupy mouthfeel to it. very strong on the hops, but not much of any malt to balance it out. has a standard dry hop aftertaste, and has a medicine aroma and flavor. not bad though hop wise. Light sweet grassy nose. Nice hoppy kick - not to edgy - fullmouth with an exceptional balance! hoplover406 (204), Crofton, Maryland, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 25, 2007 This is a safe, clean representation of an IPA. Nothing out of the ordinary here, by the book. BUT, it tastes pretty darn good. I generally like the offerings from AVBC they make pretty solid, true to the style beers. 757HopHead (12), Reno, Nevada, USA
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Apr 24, 2007 12 oz bottle into pint glass. Decent head that soon vanishes into a small lasting layer. Pine and floral notes that allude to a nice hoppy kick in the mouth. Nice lacing throughout the consumption. Definitely one of my favorite IPA’s. Not for those who aren’t a fan of hoppier end of the spectrum.
