| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 8, 2009 This is a very nice session IPA, though the bitterness does creep up after a bit, perhaps limiting the session to a couple! The aroma is of sweet and candied malts with a little floral hops in the background. From what I’ve read about this beer, that might not be typical. It’s travelled a long way to get to me though, so I’ll put it down to that. I suspect fresh, it would blow my mind. The malt flavour is reminiscent of barley sugars, and not something I like in a beer, but the bittering hops save it from getting too cloying, and the herbal, piney, and floral hop flavours come through nicely. A nice drop. I’ll be having a few when I get to the USA. nbutler11 (762), Phoenix, Arizona, USA

Pours nice enough -- bright copper with a frothy off-white head. Smells mildly of hops with a little pineapple. Tastes of hops, flour, and underripe citrus. Would love to give this a better shake on tap. drowland (1415), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 30, 2009 This is the beer that turned me into a hophead many years ago...Pours a hazy amber with a nice thick head and good lacing. Aroma of grass, grapefruit and orange. Citrus hops in the flavor with a slightly metalic note. Nice bitter finish. Not quite as good as I remember it to be, but still a very nice IPA.
