Commercial Description:
Hop-Heads, your dreams have come true! Hop Ottin' is Boontling for "hardworking hops," and they're surely hard at work in this brew. Hop Ottin' starts with a strong floral aroma, which winds into a deep and complex body. In an intriguing balance, honey-drenched malts coat rich hop undertones. At length, the hops prevail, with a satisfyingly crisp finish. Hop Ottin' bites like a cankicky bluetail (Hop Ottin' bites like a rattlesnake looking for a fight.)

Pours a cloudy orange amber color with a flat head of small bubbles. The nose is full of citrus hops and lemon grass. It has a fresh taste with lots of initial hop flavor. That fades quick and turns into molassas sweet caramel toffee. Overall it has good carbonation and smooth on the palate, very refreshing.

12 fl. oz. bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is 7%. Deep golden colour, big off-white head. The aroma has plenty of fruity American hops, notes of fresh orange marmalade and grapefruit. The flavour is a solid hoppy attack from start to finish, with a subdued malty sweetness in the background. Very bitter aftertaste.

355 ml bottle at home. Clear amber color, nice white head. Aroma is typical american hoppy. Flavor is a fine combination of half sweet malt and floral/fruity hops. Fine bitterness in the finish. Not extreme, but a well balanced IPA.

Clear amber pour with a lively khaki froth. Body shows little effervescence and some hop residual floaties. Aroma is grassy and floral with undertones of biscuit and honey. Flavor is moderately resinous with citrus notes and honey-caramel. Palate is medium bodied, resinously smacking, exuding low effervescence. Finish is clean and crisp.

Bottle (35 cl) at Ölrepubliken, Göteborg, Sweden. Shady golden, medium white head. Apricot and citrus hop aroma, upon a solid earthy malt base. Medium bodied and smooth. Dry with medium bitterness. Quite good, but a dream come true for hop-heads, I think not.

Bottle at Olympen, Oslo Rather anonymous aroma. Fine aroma of citris and pine. Light malty base. Smooth pine finish, but nowhere as extreme as the claims on the label.

Pours clear copper with overly generous head. Very meringue-like head... oh so nice! Nose has a pleasant brewery doughy like freshness with some hop tang in the background. Palate is light bodied with a nice balance of malt to hops. A very balanced IPA for sure. A little tart on the finish and somewhat thin, but overall it is very, very drinkable for an American IPA.
