Commercial Description:
Hop-Heads, your dreams have come true! Hop Ottin' is Boontling for "hardworking hops," and they're surely hard at work in this brew. Hop Ottin' starts with a strong floral aroma, which winds into a deep and complex body. In an intriguing balance, honey-drenched malts coat rich hop undertones. At length, the hops prevail, with a satisfyingly crisp finish. Hop Ottin' bites like a cankicky bluetail (Hop Ottin' bites like a rattlesnake looking for a fight.)

12 ounce bottle enjoyed at my sister and brother-in-laws condo. Pours a light copper color with a one finger width white frothy head and a good amount of carbonation. The aroma consists of hops, citrus, and light pine. The taste is very typical for an IPA and is very good... it has a nice hop bite, some citrus and a nice malty background. Finishes a bit bitter and leaves you wanting more. Overall, this was a unexpected surprise for me. Nothing terribly special, but this is exactly what an IPA should be in my mind...

Bottle at Bishops Arms, Karlstad. Pours a amber color with a nice white head, some lacing. Aroma is citrus hoppy with pine needles, grass, resin and grapefruit with notes of caramel. Flavour is citrus hoppy on a solid maltbase with lots of resin, pine needles, grapefruit and caramel. Long resinous bitterness. Medium bodied. Carbonation is nice with lots of small bubbles. A quite tasty IPA.

Appearance: Pours a deep copper-orange with slight opacity and a firm, white head. Strong lacing. Aroma: Intense hop aroma with considerable floral notes and mild citrus impressions. Flavor: Begins with citrusy hops and sweet malts, smacking of honey and caramel. Eases its way into a resinous, piney flavor. Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with light carbonation. High bitterness to start subsides to a rich, sticky aftertaste. Lip-smacking, if you know what I mean. Overall Impression: Another solid IPA from the West Coast. Great work.

Nice pour, with very little foam. Darkish golden color. Aroma of pine and hopes. Very earthy and hoppy. Very smooth and enjoyable.

In short: A superior American IPA with a strong floral character.
How: Tap at Stanton Public, NYC
The look: Clear golden copper body topped by a medium off-white head leaving good lacing
In long: Nose is very floral. Well malted with lush tasty caramel and some honey wonderfully balanced by the intensely floral hops with citrus and resinous notes. The bitterness level is very high but not too sharp or biting. This is just a very tasty yet never aggressive IPA. I’m not sure I ever had the bottle but I can guarantee that on tap this is a way world class session American IPA. Good marketing here, the commercial description starts with “Hop-Heads, your dreams have come true!” but then it goes on about stuff unrelated to porn?!? Oh well, the beer was great nonetheless.

Every sunrise I bow towards the HOPS vines praising the Gods for the endowing us with Hop Ottin’. Finally, evening arrives and the freezer delivers a frosted pint-sized vessel into which the enchanted amber contents swirl, lingering a brief moment, before a burst of hop-ladened nectar wash over my beckoning lips. Ahh, the alpha-aroma yields to a deliciously crisp, alluring bite that sirens another amber wave of effervescent ecstasy. Like Centaur amidst a bevy of nymphs in an enchanted forest pool, a chorus of hop-crazed taste buds gloriously squeals their unmitigated approval. My Herculean search is over, in my hands the Holy Grail, I am in love through all eternity! Alas, though euphoric, I am slayed by the inevitability of yet another finished glass..

Very hazy slightly dark amber color, epic head retention. Mild mixture of malt and hops on the nose, malt dominant. Really light malty flavor, very little bitterness with a kind of vegetable from the hops. High mouthfeel, medium-low carbonation.

middle of the road IPA. Standard aromas and flavour. I found it under hopped for the hype. Bitterness seems to wane in the finish. Not a bad beer, just not a standout.

Out of the bottle, poured nice off orange with a white head. Nice aroma full of hops, but the taste disappoints with more malty sweetness than hop bitterness. Overall a solid IPA, not the hop crazy bitterness that is advertised.
