Rather anonymous aroma. Fine aroma of citris and pine. Light malty base.
Smooth pine finish, but nowhere as extreme as the claims on the label. yemenmocha (415), Glendale, Arizona, USA

Nose has a pleasant brewery doughy like freshness with some hop tang in the background.
Palate is light bodied with a nice balance of malt to hops. A very balanced IPA for sure. A little tart on the finish and somewhat thin, but overall it is very, very drinkable for an American IPA. sbroome (78), Burnsville, Minnesota, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | Dec 11, 2009 pours amber reddish brown with only a micro head. nose of blood. taste is metallic, like i’m drinking liquid gold dipped in nose blood. i wanna forget this beer, as nothing about it is good, except for it can make me feel funky and make bad decisions. no more please, no more. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 8, 2009 Bottled. Poured slightly hazy medium orange with a short, sticky cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up juicy grapefruit and pine over a bready and biscuity base.. hops seemed mellow, and I’m thinking this must’ve been an old bottle (purchased recently).. still enjoyable, but not what I expected. The flavor found the same biscuits and some caramel at the core.. earth, pine, and grapefruit bitterness surrounded at a level that balanced well against the malts.. finished with tacky sweetness and a long residual pine and citrus bitterness. Medium-bodied with a feel that was slightly thicker than average for the style.. balance was good, but the flow wasn’t quite there. I’d love to catch this on tap and give ’er another go. Aroma is citrus hoppy with pine needles, grass, resin and grapefruit with notes of caramel. Flavour is citrus hoppy on a solid maltbase with lots of resin, pine needles, grapefruit and caramel. Long resinous bitterness. Medium bodied. Carbonation is nice with lots of small bubbles. A quite tasty IPA. Leighton (296), New York, New York, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Nov 23, 2009 Appearance: Pours a deep copper-orange with slight opacity and a firm, white head. Strong lacing.
Aroma: Intense hop aroma with considerable floral notes and mild citrus impressions.
Flavor: Begins with citrusy hops and sweet malts, smacking of honey and caramel. Eases its way into a resinous, piney flavor.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied with light carbonation. High bitterness to start subsides to a rich, sticky aftertaste. Lip-smacking, if you know what I mean.
Overall Impression: Another solid IPA from the West Coast. Great work.

| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Nov 20, 2009 In short: A superior American IPA with a strong floral character.
How: Tap at Stanton Public, NYC
The look: Clear golden copper body topped by a medium off-white head leaving good lacing
In long: Nose is very floral. Well malted with lush tasty caramel and some honey wonderfully balanced by the intensely floral hops with citrus and resinous notes. The bitterness level is very high but not too sharp or biting. This is just a very tasty yet never aggressive IPA. I’m not sure I ever had the bottle but I can guarantee that on tap this is a way world class session American IPA. Good marketing here, the commercial description starts with “Hop-Heads, your dreams have come true!” but then it goes on about stuff unrelated to porn?!? Oh well, the beer was great nonetheless.
