| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 21, 2006 This is a nice looking beer and is Pennzoil colored. There is a small white foam and plenty of carbonation. Aroma is hoppy featuring tart fruit and some florals. There is a nice little bite to the flavor as the hops dominate. A slow forming aftertaste can be found and it is slightly bitter. The fruit is strongly grapefruit. I kept wondering when the malt would show up and it finally made an appearance when the glass was almost empty. It adds a caramel aspect to the beer. Throughout the beer was dry and crisp. dwyerpg (2537), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Nov 15, 2006 Pretty cloudy orange-yellow and not much aroma. The taste is just slightly bitter and hoppy. A little thin in the middle. A nice dry finish. Some maltiness at the end that I don’t like. Magjayran (1379), Durham, North Carolina, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Nov 8, 2006 Pours a clear golden color with a decent white head. Pleasant hoppy aroma that is mostly citrus. Obvious west coast style APA with a distinct citrus flavor that is pleasantly bitter without being extreme. A very nice example of the style. hophead75 (1959), Boonton, New Jersey, USA

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Oct 6, 2006 Bottle. Amber with a mostly diminishing head. Some tiny spots of lacing. Aroma of caramel malt with some citrusy hops and leather. Basically a biscuity malt flavor with some hop backing. Thin, slightly watery and fizzy palate. Overall not bad, and would make a decent session beer, but I’m not particularly impressed with this one, especially given the superior Boont amber ale and Hop Ottin IPA offerings of the same brewer. jrob21 (1268), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 26, 2006 Slight musty aroma with a hint of orange. Taste is light and fruity with a bitter hop finish. Light bodied, refreshing. Not very complex but a nice pale. Later on getting some grapefruit tastes and aromas as well.
