Faded hops and earthy tones in the nose. Flavor mostly runs by you as it goes down. Probably made for the beer drinkers wife. Goes down smooth with not a lot of flavor. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Aug 7, 2009 Delicious hazy copper cream ale, this seasonal is smooth, light, dry, and very drinkable. The rating is low on ratebeer (big shock) but I notice it’s the 12 highest rated cream ale.
So, what does that say about the rating system? or the reviews who dont give this excellent example of this style very high marks.
If you haven’t tried it, give it a try.
I have to agree with a recent reviewer, though, it’s a bit creamy and sweet for a summer beer..perfect autumn, though. Cornfield (4980), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 6, 2009 Single bottle from the Binny’s in Orland Park, IL: This poured a clewar copper body with a smallish off-white head and a little spotty lacing. The aroma has a sweet fruitiness with toasty grain and a dollop of caramel. The flavor is that of slightly soured caramel apples with a sprtiz of tonic water. Not something I’d care to repeat. fata2683 (932), Panama City, Florida, USA
