| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 28, 2006 Pristine brownish amber with small bubbled head. Hop aroma is mild grassy, overpowered by a strong malt aroma of toffee and caramel. The flavor is... interesting. Buttery, caramel, mild roasted, and oh so smooth. nahthan (129), Oakland, California, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 27, 2006 This beer is like drinking a Creamsicle on a hot summer day. Very clear. Medium/small head retention. Very smooth and drinkable. A hint of spice. Low hops, One of AVBC’s least hoppy beers. it’s got a nice sweetness that’s pleasant, not like a caramel sweetness that lays on the tongue. It’s very carbonated. A little bready malt profile is there, especially if you let it warm up in the glass a bit. Best fresh on tap, this one doesn’t age well. oldrtybastrd (1846), Morlautern, Germany/Great Falls, Montana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 24, 2006 Pours a clear medium amber color. Aromas of floral, semi-sweet notes. Seemed sweet to me with a nice bitter end. This would be a great golf course summer session beer. Snojerk321 (2022), San Diego, California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 17, 2006 Pours a clear reddish amber color, With an offwhite head. Aroma of citrus and light spice. goes down very smooth, nice creamy mouthfeel. harlequinn (2745), Tacoma, Washington, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Apr 11, 2006 Drinking this one as we speak. Pours a strikingly translucent golden amber. Nose has a bit of annoying spice, that almost made me sneeze. Spicy citrus fruits are very dominant, along with some biscuity maltiness, all mixed up in a very creamy potion that is not all that easy to drink. Kind of over the top for a cream ale this has a moderate artifical fruit flavor at times. Not the best thing I have ever had from AVBC Tmoney99 (4794), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Apr 4, 2006 Bottle. Clear amber pour with a moderate off-white head that diminished slolwy. Moderate sweet spice fruity aroma. Medium body with a sticky texture. Full fruity spice flavor with a smooth finish of average duration. Solid refreshing summer brew. bethmatt0421 (319), Covington, Kentucky, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Apr 2, 2006 Creamy, spicey nose. Hoppy, spicey, and again..creamy flavor. Not the most hoppy beer out there, but I think thats kind of the point of a summer beer. To be light, and easy to make a session out of. Enjoy on the boat dock! smcd (366), USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 10/20 | Mar 20, 2006 Again, I hate to say anything bad about AVBC, but this is not my favorite brew. It is close to my wife’s favorites, though -- which proves, again, there is no accounting for taste. Remarkably similar to the AVBC Winter Solstice ... this one has more diacetyl in the nose and flavor.
