Commercial Description:
Each year, when people are starting to unpack their winter clothes and replenish their firewood, our tiny brewery in the coastal redwoods of Northern California makes seasonal preparations of a different kind. As the cold arrives, we release a unique beverage created to add warmth to even the coldest and darkest of winter's days. Winter Solstice Seasonal Ale begins with a very high original gravity to create a hearty and spicy brew with a deep amber hue and a smooth finish. Anderson Valley Brewing Company wishes you the very best for the holiday season and the New Year.

Aroma was well spiced and fruity. Pours an amber red with a well defined off-white head. Flavor was less spicy than the aroma, but more fruited, with hints of plums and vanilla. Medium mouth feel makes this beer drinkable enough to consider a second bottle.

The aroma was slightly spicey and loaded with dark fruit and malts. The beer poured a hazy dark amber color with slight head and no lacing. The flavor was lightly spiced with hints of caramel and molasses, dark fruit, and vanilla. The mouthfeel was medium bodied and nicely carbonated.

Dark amber with small head. Aroma is light spice and sweet malt. Taste is a wonderful tone of sweet caramel mixed with vanilla that seems to melt in your mouth. Spicy finish with minimal bitternes. A bit of alcohol burn isn’t out of place. Absolutely fantastic with my beef stew this evening. Well done.

aroma of some type of spice. Poured light brown in color. Tastes of cream, rootbeer/cream soda. A tad thin. This was different and better than i expected.

Amber-copper color; small lingering head. Slight malt and spice aroma. Flavor of citrus, hazelnuts, toasty malts, minerals, funky fruits, and floral hops.

From a bottle--Poured a amber-coper body with a mild white head. Nose of sweet fruity esters. Flavor is of vanilla and fruits. Floral and sticky. Finished with a slight artificial sweetener flavor. Not too shabby. Pretty tasty!

12oz bottle. pours a very muddy brown with amber highlights, sustainable head. aroma is very inviting and the spices permeate above the brim, the initial taste is filled with well placed hops with a medley of spices and capped with hints of berries and other fruits.. very easy going down and no aftertaste hangover. a maltiness of near perfection covers the end taste.. good brew
