Dec 21, 2005 2005 bottle. Pours brown/amber with a thin white head. Smells of yogurt, cherries, apricots. Taste is of gingerbread, spice, some fruit and chocolate. Very unusual, but tasty. Thanks Andre!

Dec 21, 2005 Sampled at a 2005 Christmas and Winter beer tasting at Delilah’s, Chicago, IL. 2004 vintage. Hazy amber ale having a small diminishing white head. No discernable carbonation. Nice spice and candy malt aroma. Medium bodied that starts with a spicy, chocolate, toasted candy malt flavors, similar to chocolate-coated malt balls. Finishes with light malt aftertaste. A good drinkable winter brew.

Dec 21, 2005 Reddish amber color with a malty aroma, taste was mostly malt with some Christmas cookie anise spice in the backgroung, not to much hop. Another one of those ok but not outstanding holiday brews

Dec 20, 2005 Bottle. Holy caramel flavoring! Pretty murky light orange color w/ light tan head that mostly dissipates. Floral nose. Silky mouthfeel. Extremely enjoyable brew. Not too sweet - reminds me of a liquified Werther’s Original caramel candy somewhat!!! Even some faint milky vanilla taste. Well balanced mild carbonation. Great!!

Dec 18, 2005 this winter beer was a deep ruby red in color with a nice off-white head.aroma is off earth,vegtible beets,some malts,and a tiny bit of hops.the flavor is alot like the "boont" ale from anderson.only with some brown sugar,and cinnamon as well.pretty solid stuff.

Dec 14, 2005 A nice amber color, somewhat hazy, with a tan head that darkens at the edges. Aroma is definitely vanilla and toasted caramel. Flavor is pretty nice. The caramel and strong vanilla blend with milk and a nice sweetness but the overall beer does not work just yet, it seems green and needs time to meld and will do so with age.

Dec 14, 2005 Apples, tart cherries, and orange. Some hop bitterness helps to cut through the fruit and caramel sweetness. Malt and vanilla and some hazelnut, too maybe.
