| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 11, 2004 Pours a dark reddish brown with a thin tan head. Apples, spice, and caramel on the nose. It smelled like Christmas. Medium bodied mouthfeel. Apples, brown sugar, nutmeg, and cinnamon on the tongue. A great beer for guests for the holidays. I think the average beer drinker would enjoy this one. These seasonal beers are making me wish it was closer to Christmas. pantani (1902), Salinas, California, USA

| 4.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 10/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Oct 13, 2004 This pours a beautiful reddish-brown color with a creamy, fluffy head. The aroma was mildly hoppy with delicate malt sweetness. Vanilla bean is dominant with orange peel for balance. There also seemed to be a hint of nutmeg (i seemed to be the only one who could smell it). The Taste was of roasted malt, vanilla and carameled apple. The bitterness was mild which allowed the vanilla to finish slightly above the hopps. Sweet and slightly spicy, The higher alcohol (6.9% ABV) added a nice warming affect. The balanced was perect from start to finish. I loved this beer so much over the hollidays I bought all that I could, as to enjoy it year round. I find it very drinkable and i’m looking forward to a fresh batch this year. wilkie (1191), Raleigh, North Carolina, USA

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Oct 3, 2004 Pours with a beautiful reddish orange hue. Nice white head that laced up pretty well.
Very aromatic. Loads of caramel, apple, wild fruit, brown sugar and nice tropical scents. It almost smells like candy...Those hard bright apples candies coated with caramel. Smells very very nice!
Duh! What a flop! A beer with such potential until you take a sip! There are some very nice flavors going on here but just not enough of anything. Some caramel, grapefruits, sweet malty sugars and nutmeg. Lousy finish.
