Commercial Description:
Angel City IPA is made with English Pale Malt and is bittered and generously dry-hopped with Golding Hops. This beer is not for the faint of heart, but because it is so well balanced it will be enjoyed by many.

22oz bottle acquired in trade with Foolish_Mortal (thanks!). Poured a medium orange color with an averaged sized off white head. Small suspended floaters. Aromas of some fruitiness and citrus. Tastes of citrus, light caramel, and some toasted malts.

22oz bottle-pours a light tan head and gold color with particles. Aroma is some hop, medium malt and a bit of off-putting apple cider. Taste is some hop, medium malt and a bit of off-putting apple cider, maybe a packaging/bottling issue. While still quite drinkable would like to try again. OK carbonation.

Bomber courtesy of danielcurtis81. Pours copper with a sticky white head. Smells of grass, hay, earthy. Tastes of pepper, bubblegum, sweet citrus.

Copper tone with a frothy white head, this has more the aroma of a sturdy APA than an IPA - caramel malt with light citrus, resinous, and earthy hops. The flavor has a more intense bitterness to counter the sweet caramel malt. The finish quiets down, leaving a lingering but mild hop bite. A decent brew, but not an exceptinal IPA.

Bottle: Hazy amber foamy off-white head. Nose of sweet candy and celery, light caramel. The flavor is tinny and metallic, full of sour dry malts and some bitter notes. Finishes bad. Just aweful.

Bomber from Hi-Time. Aroma is more ESB than IPA. Seems floral. Orange gold color with a fluffy, coarse white head. Medium body with very mild carbonation. The flavor is malt, floral/herb and arguably citrus peel. A little funk, perhaps. English malt. Golding hops. Spicy, soft, woody. Maybe this is an EPA? Between the malt and the hop it does seem well balanced. Though it could be an ESB on roids. Took a bit of getting used to, but it is well worth the effort. Adventures in the mouth. Turns out to be a good ale.

Bottled. Poured a clear medium amber with a tall cap of rocky, off-white head... lots of rising carbonation. Rather sticky/sweet aroma with caramel, light fruits, and English floral hoppage. Flavor had a solid caramel and sweet fruity base.. plenty of floral as well as faint citrusy bitterness around the edges. Medium-bodied. Smooth malts and decently-placed bitterness. Caramel and pale malts plus spicy floral bitters at the finish. Nice beer, but definitely not to style.
