Commercial Description:
Lester Young, 1909-1959 "Prez" was nicknamed by Billie Holiday because he was "President of the Saxophone". Lester’s light and airy tenor saxophone tone, his lyrical lines, combined with behind the beat phrasing and unerring ability to swing, led Prez to become the father of the "Cool" school of Jazz.

0.65 l bottle at Stockholm Beer Festival 2009. Hazy dark brown color. Nutty and leathery aroma. Sweetish malty, worty, toffeish, worty and nutty flavor with low bitterness. Hint of chocolate and licorice in finish. Not so refined lager character.

Dark brown color, not much head, some small foam. Caramelly, nutty aroma. Very sweet, caramelly, some grassy notes too. Not very lagerish, more like an ale.

Bottled. Deep brown colour, small beige head. Aroma is burnt sugar, some wood, mild syrup as well as some slight chocolaty notes. Flavour is wood, some hops, mild sugar and some slight roasted notes. A bit to sweet for my likes.

Bomber. Deep ruby in color. Strong roasty aroma. Quite sweet and chocolaty. Smooth and malty up front. Roasted maltiness and some chocolate. A little more prickly than I would have like. Pretty enjoyable all the same.

22 oz bomber. Pours a Dark brown with medium beige head that quickly fades. Aroma- roasted malt, coffee almost like a stout. Tasted like a stout, but thin and watery. Maybe a cross between a stout and schwartzbier. Finishes dry with a slight citrus kick. Not bad worth a try and at 2.99 its not gonna kill you.

Sampled on tap. Pours a dark reddish brown color, off-white head. Roasted malt, caramel, hints of fruit and citrus, light coffee, and some earthiness. Decent beer, it’s a worth a try.

Tasted at the San Diego International Beer Festival. Dark copper with a fizzy white head. Mild roasty caramel aroma and taste with a clean citrus finish.

Bottle. Picture sent in to be uploaded. Pours with a small khaki head over a very deep brown cola body. Decent lace. Aroma of roast, caramel, grain and some faint hops. A bit metallic too. Not bad, taste of watered down mocha, hops, coffee, butterscotch, longish duration. Surprisingly good. A bit of earth too, with just a touch of metal in the finish. Thin and fizzy mouthfeel. Not horrible, I think this one might be a Schwarzbier and not a Dark Lager...
