| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Jan 22, 2006 I was confused by the description on the bottle which reads that it’s "brewed like the great Czech and German Pilseners." Which one? What style was I to expect? It looked promising enough, a golden, well beaded body with a dense, creamy head. The aroma was faint, a mild, bready malt with a light herbal/floral hopping. But the taste - a light malt with a strong, and I mean STRONG crabapple taste. It finished with a sour flavor in the back of the mouth and, too be fair, some hoppy bitterness, too. The bottle may be off and I’d try it again. If someone else put down the money.

| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Feb 23, 2008 Bomber. Aromas of pale malt, honey? and noble hops. Golden color with a decent white head that left pretty fast. Near medium body with fizzy carbonation. Flavor is pale malt, still a hint of honey?, and enough grassy hop to really balance out the sweetness. Finish is decently bitter. Except for the extra sweetness artifact, it fits the syle well. bb (2941), Martinez, California, USA

Crisp, easy drinking, some biscuity flavor. A little sweetness as it warmed. It was just a regular brew. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 9, 2007 08-Jul-07 (22 oz bottle: $2.99 at BevMo in La Jolla, CA) The aroma of sweet biscuits draped in honey, and the notable lack of hops immediately hints that, contrary to the label, this is not going to be a "crisp lager." The malt has a very bready flavor with low-to-medium sweetness, and the very mild hop flavor and bitterness is all but lost. The strong breadiness totally dominates the finish. Fairly heavy body for a pilsener, and carbonation is far too soft for the style as well. Without much in the way of hop bitterness, the bready malts really weigh down the beer, giving it a stale mouthfeel and further robbing it of any hope of the promised crispness. Dark-golden in color and hazy from a flurry of visible particles, the appearance is further marred by a small and very short-lived, off-white head that fully dissipates and leaves no lacing. Overall, it’s drinkable, but for a pilsener, it’s well below average and thus not recommended. pivo (2537), Germany
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Apr 22, 2006 Yeasty nose, fruity. Hazy orange, foamy fizzy head. Apricot, cherry tastes, a little sour. Lactice. Tart spicy end. Medium body. Very nice brew, but has nothing to do with a pilsener or anything done in Czech or .DE. More like a Belgian.
