Commercial Description:
Cask; Special. Mainly available bottled.
Brewed with pale and crystal malts, this amber coloured beer uses New Zealand Pacific Gem hops for bittering and a subtle hint of blackcurrant. First brewed in 2002 to celebrate the centenary of William Waltons birth. Crown Imperial was written for the Kings Coronation in 1937. A donation is made to the Walton Trust for every bottle sold.

Bottled, with a sediment but not bottle conditioned (I think). Gold with a slight haze, poor head and low condition. Big initial aroma of hazelnuts with a hint of hops in the background. Full bodied with hazelnuts again dominating but the hops start to become more obvious towards the end, finally leaving a dry, hop bitter finish.
