Pale bitter, slighty biscuit tones crystal malts and Maris Otter pale malts, this pale ale malt is derived from barley grown under exclusive contract to British farmers. This beer is specially brewed by Anglo Dutch for Clark's Organic Group of Wakefield (beersinabox.com). Gold colour. Subtle aroma with fruity pear drops and grape notes. Quite mellow and subdued. A surprising amount of dry biscuity malt in the flavour, with a faint hoppy tang in the background. Very smooth, slightly thin mouthfeel. Soft, dry finish. A pleasant, lager-ish (maybe the Dutch influence?), easy drinking beer, but could use a little more backbone. 500ml bottle (not bottle conditioned).
