Pours a hazy straw-yellow, the first indication that this isn’t quite right for a pilsner. Aroma is bitter and skunky. Flavor is also skunky -- nice trick for a kegged beer. Bitter, dry, skunky, unpleasant. I couldn’t finish it. The other ratings here make me wonder if I got a bad batch. Skyview (4060), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA

Pours a clear golden pale blonde brew with a fast dissolving white head that leaves behind a white ring and some spotty lacing. Aroma of light bready malt and some dry grassy and flowery hops. Taste is light bodied, very lightly carbonated with a good balance of light malt and hop bitterness. Finish is smooth and has a slight dry hoppy character that quickly finishes almost clean and crisp. JohnnyOS (646), Golden, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Aug 7, 2006 (Tap) Seasonal brew. Pours golden with small white head. Malty sweetness, with rather hoppy aftertaste. Overall a pretty good pilsner; but a bit more sweet then a ’typical German pils’.
