Pours darker brown with light brown highlights. Thicker head that fades quickly. Aroma of caramel, chocolate, malt and a bit of coconut. Very smooth, no alcohol burn with this one (ABV was at 6.9.. up from the listed 4.7).

On tap (cast drawn) only at the Angry Minnow Restaurant in Hayward WI. This is the first bourbon barrel, six-month aged, oatmeal stout the brewpub produced. Pours a very dark black color with light brown head that disappears in a couple minutes. Nice aroma and flavor of roasted coconut, maple, sweet barley malt, and milk chocolate. The finish is creamy sweet with hints of maple and vanilla. Owner informed me that only one 31 gallon batch was made and first tapped during the last week of Feb 07. For bourbon aged creamy stouts, this one is worth a trip to North Central Wisconsin.
