The best thing I can say is that it’s not as bad as your typical macro. Pours a medium gold color with a thin fizzy head. Aroma is on a par with a Bohemian pilsner, malty and slightly sour. Tastes is malty with a light bitter hop aftertaste. Wasn’t as bad as I’d expected, but it wasn’t exactly great either. theFritz469 (16), Brunswick, Ohio, USA

I was hopping for something that wasn’t there. I sure hope those brewmasters did not spend a lot of time on this, then again everyone knows what happens when committees design something Kinz (2207), Glen Allen, Virginia, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | May 31, 2004 Saw this nestled between the 40’s and double deuces at the grocery store, figured I might as well. Thought about saving it for number 600 for about 2 seconds, then I came to my senses. Medium gold, decent head, less fizzy than normal bud. Clearly grainy flavor, and someone actually whispered the word hops in the vicinity of the bottle. Strangely full bodied, to the point that I suspect some sort of artificial stabilizers. Better than Bud, but there are so many better beers out there... At least there was a feeble attempt at a home grown quality product. LiebeBier (793), Annapolis, Maryland, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 31, 2004 The green bottle did give this a pseudo skunk Heineken taste. I do prefer it to the other AB products and give them kudos for spending money marketing a beer that will be less than 1% of the flagships volume. Definitely not worth the money and I suspect this beer will be off the market with 12 months. tbookman (618), Ephrata, Pennsylvania, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/20 | May 28, 2004 Sort of reminded me of an almost-skunked Heiniken. Very pale yellow with a soapy head. Had a bit of pilsner-ish malt to it, with a bit of hop bite at the end. The big Evil Empire managed to make a fairly clean beer with a bit of decent flavor. Still, nothing to get excited about. smoosh (523), New Albany, Indiana, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | May 22, 2004 Bottle - looks just like all of their others. Only mildly skunked! Inoffensive taste. Fairly soft palate. If they can’t get 10 of their best brewmasters to do any better than this ... KarmanGhia (276), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

The fact that I was actually surprised that it sucked after reading the nice description leads me to trust my soft spot for efficient capitalism less than ever before. Life doesn’t have to be this bland, plain, safe, or normal. Decide what it is that you love, and love it because it is your taste. My friends say I’m conservative, but I can recognize the evils of homogenization when I see them. This beer represents what I stand against - averageness disguised as "World Select". Universal beer = average beer at best.
