No bad aftertaste and a great flavor. Great Job AB! My other favorites include Sam Adams Octoberfest, Sam Adams Light, & Coors Light shendrix (478), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 18, 2006 A bad, watery, imitation of Heineken. Why anyone would want to imitate a beer that boasts "skunky" as its only claim to fame, well, that’s beyond me. Sputerbug (112), Nacogdoches, Texas, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Jul 12, 2006 120z bottle.Pours bright golden with a fast fading white head with aromas of abundant hops being used.A little unbalanced makes for the bitterness.Taste similar to Grolsh or Heiniken but not a beer I would purchase again as there are too many other better tasting beers. wxman (588), O’Fallon, Illinois, USA
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | May 15, 2006 Updated: May 16, 2006Bright golden color with a white head that doesn’t last long even with a constant stream of rising bubbles. Smells like Bud. Tastes of wet bread with some hop bitterness. Aftertaste is of the somewhat unpleasant type; a burning in the throat. Not much good to say here. Now for an editorial comment: AB is all about attractive packaging and marketing, but they know nothing about quality brewing and haven’t for at least 50 years. If they concentrated on a flavorful product, they could have topped 50% of the market years ago and held it without any serious challengers. radagast83 (1315), Fairfax, Virginia, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | May 14, 2006 Bottle. For what it is, I thought that this was much better than what you’d expect from Anheuser. Their reputation would be much higher if this was their ’standard’ brew instead of bud/bud light. cweb7 (39), Columbia, Missouri, USA
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 6, 2006 Bottle, Not counting Czechvar, this is my favorite Anheuser product. Had a crisp taste that was similar to Grolsch and Budvar. Somewhat watery which is to be expected from an American macro. I recommend this for people wanting to broaden their beer horizons without hurting the wallet. SudsMcDuff (1703), was CapeTown,SA-now Houston, Texas, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Apr 25, 2006 who says this is the answer to heineken??? i mean, really..i have never heard it before and there are no similarities, except the green bottle. Had on tap at an Oktoberfest in Galveston...ya i know...pours a deep yellow slight slight tan colour, some small head but there...better bud smell...good subtle clkean bitterness, very drinkable and one of the better A B’s when it comes down to lager. not bad but keep trying! | 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Apr 24, 2006 12 oz Bottle: AB felt Heiniken was just far too good a beer not to attempt a clone. But dont’ worry its in a green bottle so it too will likely skunk even though its doesnt have to travel at all. At least Heiniken unskunked isn’t horrid to start with.
