Strong citrus scent, near overpowering. Actually too much reminds me of cleaning products. Harsh mouth. Really rough mix of tastes. It’s not really a bad thing though, just very different. Takes a bit to get used to. Overall citrus with a tart finish. Not bad. Had better belgians but this is still a good beer.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Dec 14, 2009 Odd light ruby tinted golden body when poured, showing more hazy golden coloured body with a thinnish (one centimetre tall) white head. Aroma of nice malty, honey, yeastie, coriander seed and a good amount of curacao. Very pleasant aroma! Medium-bodied; Assertive spicey flavour mostly showing lightish tastes, a good mild malty taste in the middle ending with some vaguely sweet taste of honey. Aftertaste shows nice mild flavours like grass, floral and herbal tastes. Overall, a fairly good beer, on the light side, but showing some good characteristics throughout. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from the LCBO (Summerhill) in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on 11-October-2009, sampled at home in Washington on 14-December-2009. madmitch76 (653), , Essex, England

Not entirely convinced this is the same beer as ’Blond’. The Margriet is brewed with Rose Buds! Very frothy cloudy amber beer. Bone dry. Slightly wheat beer like but with a bitterish edge. An unusual taste in the finish, rose buds? Just too dry! Strangebrewer (227), Chatham, Ontario, Canada

Sweet citrus aroma. Dry, club soda mouthfeel. Typical Belgian flavour, yeast, clove and citrus notes. Finishes dry and a bit metallic. GRM (1291), Aylmer, Quebec, Canada

| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Sep 28, 2009 33cl bottle. Pours pale yellow with a big fluffy head. Foam went away quite fast. Only a small head remains for quite some time. Nose is yeasty, citrusy. Some malt and some bittering hops. Fairly standard belgian blond nose. Carbonation is intense. Taste is grainy, small bitterness on the finish. Grainy finish. Overall, taste is a bit disappointing. Unidimensional and not so interesting. Papillon (216), Sudbury, Ontario, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 1/5 | 10/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Sep 27, 2009 Woah!!! When I tried to pour this one, I thought I had broken a fire extinguisher. There is way too much head to give any rating for appearance. Open that one, try to pour it, and you’ll get a scene out of Ma & Pa Kettle. The aroma is intensely yeasty with notes of grain, ginger, citrus peel, and floral, and it has a musty sharpness to it. Now if all that foam could settle down, maybe I can give some kind of rating. It really has a nice taste of malt, grains, tropical fruits, and maraschino cherry in the aftertaste followed by a fruity-sweet creamy finish. This one aces out in the flavor department. Once all that foam starts to settle down, it stays long and clings heavily to the sides of the glass. The body is a pale cloudy yellow. fredthecat (207), Canada
