Sweet aroma, but I had a cold so I couldn’t pick up the subtleties alas! Amber with a small cream-coloured head and some carbonation. Toffee and caramel flavour with hints of apple. Palate is a bit sticky and I found it slightly sickly. I’d be keen to try it again when in better health though! Mes_and_Sim (4476), Highgate, Greater London, England Dec 2, 2006 A Mes rate: 75cl bottle from Quinns but supped at home. Damn this is good. Lovely candy sugar and slight ginger notes in the aroma plus I’ll go along with Omhper and say butterscotch too. Amber brown colour with slight head and lace. Toffee, caramel, candy sugar and some lovely sweet malt in the flavour. Eventually giving way to some fresh hops and settling on a bitterness to balance it all out. The above description sounds like its a bit of an assault on the tasebuds but its not like that at all. Beautifully refined, almost delicate. A great beer with bags of finesse. omhper (10728), Stockholm, Sweden Nov 28, 2006 Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Clear lively amber, rich head. Aroma of butterscotch with a touch of grass. Dryish, light and lively. Mild, yet complex with spun sugar, caramel and some grassy hops. Feels very genuine and posseses a soothing, laid back quality. Subtle excellence! Hansen (1769), Randers, Denmark Oct 17, 2006 Amber, clear beer. Off-white head, mainly lasting. Nice malty aroma. Flavor is dark bread, malt, dark fruit perhaps. Real nice.
