jbrus (4095), Delft, Netherlands Sep 5, 2007 Bottle@Home. Very malty and toffee aroma. Light amber color, off-white head, nice lace. Very sweet, toffee, cookie dough, malty, light bitter to bitter in the finish. Cloying mouthfeel. I was really in doubt about this beer. It’s very interesting. Seems like a very malty and very sweet doppelbock but lacking the butterscotch and caramel. The mouthfeel is very malty which can be nice but then again the sticky and cloying. So although interesting very hard to drink. Can’t remember having had a beer like this before. TBone (4924), Pori, Finland Jul 27, 2007 Bottled (BB 12/2007)
I thought this beer is "BITA" :) ... difficult to read the odd letters. Amber color, small white head. Licorice and toffee in the nose. Interesting crisp mouthfeel with woody and salted licorice flavors. Same time kind of refreshing - not very full-bodied or complex. Some hard water in the finish. Unique French. brunnsbe (50), Helsinki, Finland Jul 6, 2007 One of the maltiest beers that I’ve tasted. Not so hoppy and a thin head. But the beer delivers what the name promises, malty and in that way quite promising. bierkoning (4691), La Tropica, Netherlands May 14, 2007 Bottle. Light amber color. Malty, biscuity aroma. Malty sweet flavor with apple and cookie dough. Too sweet and onedimensional to be a good beer.
