I don’t find this particularly thin like others seem to mgermani (865), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Aug 9, 2007 Pours a dark, dark amber with a minimal head and some lace. Nose of sweet molasses, partially-refined sugar and a bit of roastiness. Tastes smooth and roasted at first, then vinous and slightly yeasty and warm in the aftertaste. Notes of cocoa and coffee, and sweet molasses as well. Thin, watery body but lightly creamy. Quite a decent beer, but as Oakes points out, more like a porter than a stout. A solid effort from Antares! Oakes (8093), gone rambling, Vietnam
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 6, 2007 Brown colour, dull haze, no head. Lots of "brown" accents - toast, earth, turbinado and some wineyness. The body is thin, the toastiness and wineyness everpresent. Not at imperial stout, but once you get over this hurdle you can start to appreciate that it is a pretty tasty strong porter. The three main components are accented by some chocolate and dust notes. almosi (279), Viña del Mar, Chile

A beautiful dark coffee color, and a good head. The aroma is exquisite, blows of chocolate and overcoat the aroma to the wood. (Reminds a former hut that it was in the habit of visiting). A taste lightly sweet, fruits and chocolate. Has the just bitterness, by the very pleasant finish. Really it is the best that I have tried in a lot of time, and undoubtedly the best beer of Argentina. William (182), Utrecht, Netherlands

Had the sampler of the different beers on draught. Au contraire to other stouts this was is not too heavy and easily drinkable. omhper (12224), Stockholm, Sweden

Spicy aniseed flavour with some peppery alcohol. With it’s clean mouthfeel and relatively light body (for an imperial stout) it is more drinkable than most beers of this style, and the roasty malt generates some interesting flavours. It is however to clean and straightforward to be really good in my liking. TimE (1301), Tokyo, Japan

Roasted malt, chocolate, caramel and baked cake spring to light in the mouth. Sweet caramel nutty finish. Not an imperial stout, but not bad. TipsyMcStager (928), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
