Commercial Description:
Josh's translation of the Spanish description: At first glance of it’s brilliant amber colour, you’ll see a lager beer in the Pilsner style. But this Kölsch is radically different. It is a smooth ale, but well-hopped. It has a lot of body and enjoys a fruity flavour, displaying the purity of its components. It is freshly aromatic, with a dry finish, a product of the hops. The alcohol content is 5% abv This style is well-suited to accompany cheese, and freshly picked produce.

Poured golden with a small white head. Nice floral aroma, grassy flavour with a lttle bitterness. Well balance, well crafted beer.

No Argentine beers available where I live other than Patagonia, so finding this one at Brewery Creek was a pleasant surprise. This head was almost miniscule, being thin, white, and gone in a flash. The body was a hazy dark gold, and the aroma featured mostly hops. The taste was hopped along with what might’ve been some caramel-like sweetness. Mouthfeel and finish were quite enjoyable.

Got this bottle from nearby Supermercado Carrefour off the shelf, second in, Recoleta, Buenos Aires. I can see what they’re trying to do here, while not really succeeding as a Kolsch, it’s not a bad brew. Poured with a white head and a little lace. Has a hazy golden color. Aroma is malty, a little earthy, a hint of hop, and grain. Flavor’s about the same with a little sweetness. Carbonation is decent. Maybe just a tad thin. Good finish. Not a Kolsch, but very drinkable. I’d get it again.

courtesy of Per Forsgren - hazy blond-orange colour with a little white foam; aroma of almonds, dusty and yeasty; low carbonation with a thin malt body; moderalety dry finish with citric and caramelish notes

Deep hazy gld, moderate white head. Sweet malt aroma, a little cidery. Sweet malt flavour, almost caramel really, which seems bizarre given the style. Faintly fruity character, minimal bitterness. I’m no expert, but this doesn’t fit what a kolsch should be. My sample may be old (no date).

660ml bottle-pours a thin white film that reduces to a ring of bubbles for a head and hazy yellow color. Aroma is light grain, secondary citrus. Taste is light grain-some sweet/caramel/crystal malt (the malt from the CA brewery), secondary grassy/citrus hops. Mild carbonation.

Bottled at Monks Café, Stockholm. Hazy golden with a small white foam. Flowers, citric fruit and straw in the weak aroma. Light-bodied with notes of oranges, soap and straw with a dryish aftertaste of grass, orange-peels and straw. Quite refreshing if a bit dull carbonation.

Bottle at Six Acres; While this beer was certainly not a Kölsch it was quite pleasant to drink. Small tight white head (sorry Oakes, we must have had different batches), hazy golden straw color, smooth hints of various flavors including a touch of citrus, low hops, medium wet finish.
