Had the sampler of the different beers on draught. Really enjoyable beer, one of the best I had in Argentina. Malt, caramel and hop. Definitely my favorite Antares beer, together with the Kolsch. omhper (12299), Stockholm, Sweden

Fairly sweet, caramelly and medum-full bodied. Low on hops, allowing malt to dominate, although despite being mouthfilling the burst of flavour is short. Solid, but somewhat sweet and unrefined. ghawener (967), San Salvador, El Salvador

| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 7, 2006 Quite possibly, the best beer in Ar-Hen-Tina. Not quite a 90 shilling from Edinburgh, but a nice brew with deep color, a bit of sweetness, very mild carbonation, and an ever so mild hop taste. Credible stuff. presario (3009), Calgary, Alberta, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 30, 2006 Copper with an adequate but quickly thinning head. Light peat and earthy aroma with a little bit of grass and salt. Very malty and peaty flavour. Finish is peat, fish and salt. Not quite in line with my taste buds. Might grow on you with repetition. Strong aroma of butterscotch and caramel, well balanced with a bit of smokeyness. There are notes of molasses, ripe fruits and raisins. Very good.
Flavor is sweet and rounded, a little straight forward with hints of toffee, almonds and other nuts. Slightly smokey also, but with such a great aroma I expected more in the flavor department.
Body is a little light, medium carbonation and oily texture. Bland finish. A little watery with little aftertaste.
Nice effort but could be better.
Thanks to<a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/View-User-5855.htm> Lubiere for this one.

Pleasant aroma that’s in character. Color is brownish with a bit of tarnished brass. Satisfying scotch ale flavor, good body, slightest hint of hops, a bit of carbonation on the tongue. A slightly lingering finish. Brought this bottle back with me from La Plata, Argentina Brewpub Antares some months ago, and it has a bb date of April 06. 6% alc. I want another! Wish we could get it here. Cheers! Fukito (604), Buenos Aires, Argentina

Bottle - November 2005
Pours a caramelly colour with a beige head that rapidly diminishes. Aroma is almost non existant, maybe a little caramel and toffees. Taste is very subtle, you can taste crystal malts and a bit of roasted barley. Nice but a bit boring.
