Took a while to get used to, but when I decided I liked it, I went back for more. Very tasty, just can’t drink too much at once.

| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 11, 2006 Poured a clear amber color with oily legs upon swirling. Thick sweet aroma and flavor as expected. Since I am not a huge honey fan meads can be hit or miss with me. The honey had good balance in this. Just enough for me. Some light spiced appeared when the sweetness faded. Of course a fair amount of alcohol but balanced enough by the sweetness. Extra point for 16% drinkability. Frank (1068), Chicago, Illinois, USA

It makes me feel like a Viking--in this case, a Polish Viking. And this is very fine mead indeed. It pours a fiery amber and it’s viscosity is made apparent by how it clings to the side of the glass. The aroma, fierce as it is beautiful, is loaded w/ floral, spice and honey overtones w/ an undertone of brandy or port wine. Like most Polish meads, this is quite sweet but it’s sweetness is done delicately and at no point does it cloy. There’s a bit of acidity and along w/ the sweetness and holiday spice, it compliments the silken mouthfeel perfectly. Some citric and dark plummy flavors pop out in the finish. This is consistently one of the most enjoyable beverages I come across. SpringsLicker (2043), Tennessee, USA

Clear, ruby- tinged amber. Still.
Easily send thick legs down the glass.
Vanilla, oak and alcohol play heavily on the nose.
Smooth and sweet with a cinnamon tough in the flavor.

Clear amber body. Thick appearance. Sherry, almond and honey aroma, with hints of wood. Pleasantly sweet and very rounded in mouthfeel. Oily palate, with honey most prominent in flavour, with subtle notes of sherry and red apple. rlgk (3378), Vĺrgĺrda, Sweden

Well, I´m not very aquainted with mead, but this one is really tasty.
Sweet like sherry; sugary. Flavour from oak.
Amber with no head.
Warm and powerful alco-feel.
