Bottle 75 cl. Pours a clear warm orange with fat liquid laces. Intense aroma of caramel, flowers and honey. Quite full-bodied, very spicy with fat honey and sherry notes. Extremely delicious. 190908

Rated. Apis Póltorak Jadwiga , Apis Dwójniak Staropolski and Gales Mead Wine alongside each other at home. Many thanks to RickGordon for letting me take the Apis ones home from RBESG07... Light Golden brown ... fruity and light nose ... light sweet tones ... nice honey shows through as you swirl in mouth ... leaves a warming mouthfeel on swallow, probably a touch sharper than others.

Bottled. RBESG. Dark golden colour. Vineous aroma with honey sweetness and cherries. Super smooth mouthfeel with warming alcohol and apples up front, then comes a softness that I like about meads.

No 638 Rated 19 12 2008 Clay bottle, 750 ml, Appearance pours burned orange to rosy body as it is a mixture of raspberry squash and mead, perfectly clear in texture, not that sticky as Poltorak, reddish, viscosity is moderate, Aroma highly aromatic, especially raspberry at front, when you plongue deeper you can catch nice spicyness and fruityness (again raspberry) acompained with meady honey base and alcohol strenghtening the overall character and being absoluyely non offensive or even not high, slightly similar to Apis Poltorak Jadwiga but not to essential, medicinal scent, gently dry, dry and on the other hand very smooth, easily catchable notes of raspberry juice, really a winter warmer, it warms up your palate and even more honey sweet, awsome silky touches of suggary sticky honey and raspberry juice becoming present, fruity nose, syrupy sweetness on palate, cranberries and all spiced up and with non agressive but still present and very influenced alcohol, finish duration is long, pleasant, Palate body is full, texture is oily sticky, finish feel is sticky but dry what makes a great balnce, wonderful fruity nose at finish

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 27 Sep 2008) Pale amber colour with no head. Completely still. Fruity, spicy nose with herbs, spices and berries (cherries?). Fruity, sweet taste with notes of honey, spices and herbs. Full bodied, smooth and warming mouthfeel. Stunning balance with alcohol firmly in the background (but beware, it’s 16%). Lovely stuff!

Bottled at RBESG 2007. A golden mead with no head. The aroma is sweet with notes of honey and rosehips. The flavor is very sweet with notes of honey, pollen, and rosehips. The alcohol warm the chest. Another nice mead from Apis.
