Commercial Description:
It has very rich specific fragrance due to the addition of raspberries and wild rose to nectar honey.

1 litre of Półtorak style mead contains 720 g of natural honey. By comparison, the Dwojniak style of mead contains 610g/L of honey; the Trojniak contains 420g/L and the Czworniak contains 320g/L.

Półtorak mead matures for several years to achieve full clarity. In time its rich aroma hides a high content of alcohol (16%) and acidity forming the finest liquor there is.

The finale of Indra’s Mead, Cider and Sake Tasting on 8/31/07. We definitely saved the best for last; big thanks go out to boboski for sending this one up to us. Pours a clear deep orange/brown with nice legs. The aroma is of sweet, nutty honey; "warm" and enviting. Medium to full-bodied and super-smooth it finishes long and sweet (unlike the last two meads we had sampled). Candy-sweet without being cloying, warm and nutty, my words cannot do this beverage justice. If you’ve never tried this mead, do so. I cannot fathom anyone disliking it; it’s an amazing sensory experience.

Bottle (250ml). Shared with blankboy, biegaman and viggo - bottle courtesy of biegaman. Rating #2500 - woo! Clear amber pour - looks good! Aroma - of my cock, that’s amazing! initially boozy, then settles down quickly - ripe dates, ferraro roche chocolate, I’ll stop describing and taste now. Taste. Wow. I have no words. Lovely legs, smooth, not too strong, I could drink a bucket of this. Smooth, slick, moderate alcohol, nutty, fruity - how could you not love this? It’s almost gone now - I shall mourn its passing ...

Bottle, at RBESG 2007 in Glasgow, Grand Tasting. Beautiful deep amber to mahogany colour, no head nor carbonation. Intense oaky and honey aroma. Intense oaky and honey sweet flavour, very impressive but too sweet for me. (No wonder it is sweet, with the insane amount of honey it is made with.)

Sept. 2005 - Okay...this is my first mead. I think I’ll stick to BEER. It tastes like honey...only sweeter (goodness, is that possible?). Maybe if I had some more meads, I’d be able to say whether this is average, above average, or below.

This is one of the best drinks ever to cross my tongue. Thanks to boboski for making this available for our little tasting.
Pours amber brown with some crazy legs. Aroma of berries and butter rum chewy candy. The butter rum character appears in the flavor as well. Very creamy palate. Incredible.

Second Mead of the night at the Indra - Cider, Sake and Mead tasting 8/31/07. Pour is orange amber, completely still. Aroma is butterscotch rum. Some floral honey in the nose as well. Taste is initially more of the butter scotch, though it eases nicely into the honey and has a nice long finish. The body is syrupy and sweet, without being cloying. I had never had anything that remotely tasted like this, and loved it. This was excellent, the one I went back to for sipping until the cab came to get me. I would enjoy this like a fine port.
