The aroma is intense, smack in your face, heavy honey, fruit, berries, spices and alcohol. The taste is a thick mouthfull of honey, fruity, berries, spices and a nise alcohol burn. Full body with a sweet alcoholic finish. Great Mjød !!! mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Interesting aroma - butterscotch, caramel, and molasses with varying levels of intensity. Very thick and rich - creamy, almost buttery palate and very thick in texture. Lots of butterscotch and caramel flavour with honey stickiness up front. It actually finishes reasonably cleanly too with minimal alcohol burn considering its strength. Really good but you really have to be in the mood for this stuff and I know I certainly wouldn’t be able to drink more than a couple of ounces of it at any given moment. | 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Dec 25, 2006 This is amazing. Incredibly powerful aroma of honey, fruit and flowers with just a hint of lambic-like barnyardiness. The flavor is very sweet and the texture is very rich, yet it somehow remains light on the tongue. Highly recommended. Glouglouburp (2839), Montreal, Quebec, Canada

Overyly sweet alcoholised drink with lots of honey and a little fruity flavour. Some kind of honeyed Grand Marnier with a melted baklava or something. Way too sweet for me. Given all the praises it receives I hope to have another opportunity to try it and hopefully this next time before I lose speech capabilities. But as it stands right now I was almost jaded-wiga by it. Quevillon (1527), Sainte-Thérèse, Quebec, Canada

| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 19/20 | Dec 10, 2006 Pours a beautiful honey brown. Has aromas of cognac, honey, and nuts. While the aroma makes this seem like the alcohol is going to hit you in the face, this actually doesn’t taste of alcohol or burn. This has a sweet, spicey, honey taste. Excellent.
