A nice, dark golden to amber pour, without any bubbles on top, a lovely, sweet, honey aroma with heather and some alcohol, and a full-bodied palate with honey, heather and sugary sweetness. Just delicious. The alcohol is well hidden. I rated it a bit higher this time, at 8-4-8-4-17-4.1 but I didn’t change it due to the small difference.
Bottled at RBESG-06, GTN. (Thx Rick) It pours with a cognac-look, dark amber with no head at all. Honey, alcohol and notes of fruit, flowers and barnyard in the aroma. Full-bodied, with flavors of alcohol, sugar and honey in a heavenly blend. Sweet finish. Way better than the meads available in Norway. At 16% ABV, the alcohol is very well masked. Aroma is decieving with some notes of fruit and honey but does not give away the intensity of the sweetness of the mead. . Taste is very sweet honey, raspberry, and some wood on the finish. Very sweet. For the first of this style I’d have to say thumbs up!!! larsniclas (3389), Gothenburg, Sweden

The pour is darker than I expected. There is no carbonation, no head. Extensive legs on the glass. The pour is dark reddish brown but clear. The aroma is sweet and but mostly alcoholic. This is a sipping drink to be sure. The flavor is sweet and full of spice. Caramel, candy, flowers, honey. Quite delicious. The body is viscous, smooth, silky and well blended. The alcohol is there, but well blended with everything else. There is almost a flavor of cream and fruit.
