I happen to like it, and this stuff is wonderful. Nice tart honey nose, with floral undertones and notes of wax. Golden amber clear with no head (obviously). Thick and sweet, with alcohol warming after a nice coating of gooey sweetness trickles down your throat. Honey, flowers, wax, and just a bit of brown sugar in this. Finish is clean and sweet, and there’s a little tang in the after. Gotta get me a bottle of this stuff. SledgeJr (2972), Omaha, Nebraska, USA

It smells absolutely flammable, yet is incredibly smooth. This is about the thickest mead I’ve ever tasted. It is almost a honey syrup. My guess is that this would not pour if refrigerated. Fantastic. Just fantastic. sloth (1678), Ceciltucky, Co., Maryland, USA

My friend dropped by the other day and we consumed it in honor of a five gallon batch of mead he just lost by lightly bumping a bottle of rum into. The carboy just blew out and the whole five gallons hit the floor, shame. Anyways,,,,
Poured thickly into our wine glasses a lovely amber copper hue, lightly glowing with an ever so slight haze. Nose of fruit, berrys, honey and a hint of alcohol. Body is medium palate is coating, oily, caressing. Yes it,s sweet but i imagine it,s supposed to be. Something along the lines of a Sauterne(sp?) German super sweet wine. I definately enjoy this sweetness in a wine. Lotsa sweet honey flavors, spices, fruity, light nuttiness, light woody notes with a hint of oxydation also. Alcohol makes itself known too. Finish is sweet not cloyingly so though, with that loving alcohol heat coming to rest. A real treat for myself and Mr. Jeff. In honor of his first batch of Mead that was lost in such a horrid fashion. Slinger (91), Toms River, New Jersey, USA

Strong melon and spicy alcohol. Scuppernongs. Richly sweet. Needs to be sipped as two big of a swallow burns, but a small sip is a very beautiful thing. Tons of honey. Most meads don’t smell this much like unfermented honey. Drinking this reminds of picking sunwarmed scuppernongs with their honeylike sweetness off the vine in my parents’ backyard as a kid.
