Commercial Description:
It has very rich specific fragrance due to the addition of raspberries and wild rose to nectar honey.

1 litre of Półtorak style mead contains 720 g of natural honey. By comparison, the Dwojniak style of mead contains 610g/L of honey; the Trojniak contains 420g/L and the Czworniak contains 320g/L.

Półtorak mead matures for several years to achieve full clarity. In time its rich aroma hides a high content of alcohol (16%) and acidity forming the finest liquor there is.

I was saving this for rating #1000, but it will have to suffice as #999.

Whisky colored with thick legs and syrupy thickness. Aroma is intoxicating and beautiful, perfumed with florals and alcohol, wood and wine with an overwhelming honey presence. Rich, succulent flavor finds honey sweetness mellowed by oak with notes of brandy. At times it slides down ultra smooth, whereas other times its alcohol steps up to burn and be noticed. Regardless, this is nectar of the gods.

this was an unbelievable drink...pour was a syruplike texture, pure gold in color, aroma of flowers, honey, and spices, with some sweet fruits. flavor is explosive with the honey and sweetness, and the viscosity of the liquid completely coats the inside of your mouth. no hint at all of the 16%, and the aftertaste is so sweet you taste it for a good half an hour after the glass is empty.

Sampled this at the International Mead Fest in Boulder, Co. Mead poured a clear, medium yellow-amber color with long legs. The aroma is lighly floral, moderately yeasty with a note of bread dough, and packed with strong notes of honey and sherry. The sherry note is teetering on the borderline of smelling oxidized, but it doesn’t quite tip over into unpleasantness. The flavor is harsly sweet with a long, harshly sweet finish. The body is full, the texture is syrupy and there is a moderately alcoholic feeling in the finish. Very clean for being this high in alcohol—no higher alcohols or other flaws are readily appearent, but I didn’t find it very complex or compelling either.

Pours with an amber body topped with little head or lacing, which was expected. The aroma is slightly sweet with lots of alcohol...smells like brandy. The flavor is very sweet and full of honey, actually tastes like fresh honey to me. Full bodied and smooth.

So, my first mead experience... Pours a syrupy looking golden color with no head or lacing, but very coating of the glass. Aroma reminds me a very strong liquor that I have avoided my whole life... syrupy and sweet. Flavor is like honey infused with liquor and a very slight floral hint. Super thick and coats the tongue. I could only drink a couple sips, but it was tasty nonetheless.

Wow, awesome aroma! Very sweet. Great legs trail up the glass. No head or carbonation. Apricots and honey. Crystal clear golden orange. Silky smooth in the mouth. Effortlessly goes on down which is not necessarily a good thing. Very sweet flavor of honey wiht a hint of fruit. Nice alcohol warming. Leaves a creamy coating on the tongue and mouth. Sweet finish but very clean. AWESOME STUFF!!!
