LCRBM: Deep orange color, nice sticky laces on the glasse. Alcohol and and slightly kumquat honey taste. The alcohol is suprisingly hidden though and it is smooth and lingers down quite nicely! I have to get more experience and hopefully I can rerate this some time. lachesis (759), St Idesbald, Belgium
| 4.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 19, 2005 Brilliant thick orange beer (color of Mandarine Napoléon Liquor). No head but an overwhelming aroma of oranges, honey, Cognac, cane sugar with brown Rhum, mandarines, sharp mirabelles and bergamots. The moutfeel is oily and thick. It leaves sticky tears on the glas (glycerol?) At first it is very sweet and decadent honey like. then the sourish, refreshing citrus fruit accents are comming up. The alcohol gives it an extra warming dimention, but it is extreemly well integrated in this most original Mead style beer. I dont know who brought this to the LCRBM but thanks anyway. onystrom (808), Århus-Randers Crew, Denmark

I was sitting next to the fellow who brought this and he’s a seriously funny fellow, if you see this beer mail me. This just outstanding, soem might say this isnt beer, and well you might be right but that doesnt stop it tasting outstandingly good. Aroma is complexly fruity, with a nice full sweetness. Taste is just oustanding, the honey swirls round your mouth with the fruit and oh i could go on for days about this fellow, but id prefer to just drink more. Yum yumm. frylock (1029), Buffalo, New York, USA

Honey and lemons, fruity apple juice flavors, so much is going on. Very sweet, but not over the top. Alcohol is hidden incredibly well. Many thanks to Steve (wohlfs) for smuggling this bottle into the Concordia Ale House in Portland. JorisPPattyn (5193), Antwerpen, Belgium
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 10/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 18/20 | Oct 16, 2005 Orange, brandy-like appearance. Absolutely overwhelming fruity, honey and woods (as "in-forest") taste, a winter reserve from the Squirrel King. Extremely sweet, nearly chewy, with a taste liked heated fresh honey, the lemon already added. Nearly not liquid. I’m not for sweet, let alone sweet², but this is OUT-OF-THIS-WORLD. Genius, whomever brought it. diabel (1372), Aarschot, Belgium
