Many thanks to SoLan for the bottle. Pours clear with a pinkish amber color. Sweet floral honey with pears, raisins, and alcohol also in the nose. Flavors of rum soaked raisins, floral honey, pears, ripe apples, and booze. Very much like a dessert wine. Thick huge viscous mouthfeel. Awesome stuff. I will be savoring this bottle over quite a few nights.

0.75 l bottle. Copper to amber color. Very sweet flowery aroma with hints of butter. Very sweet and honeyish flavor with dark sugar, raspberries and butter. Soft very warming palate, a bit too warming for me. This is very sweet but warming alcohol balances quite nicely.

Bottle from a trade long ago. What can i say the best mead i’ve ever had. Orange amber brown body with no head. Apple, honey, caramel apple. The honey is lightly viscous, very sweet and dry with a mild oakiness. Incredible.

Bottle via trade only a few months ago so I should remember who this is from. whoever you are thank you kindly, I tried to look through trades but couldn’t recall. Shared on the night of the debate while angrily watching mcain lie. Pours dark orange with no head. Nose is sweet and very very nice supremely big and full of honey. Taste is so full of honey, I can’t really be sure i’m drinking mead, did I pour honey in my glass, hmm, nope, didn’t, this is fantastic. This is thick and gooey and awesome, if I had this around under the counter by the gallon i’d pour this on waffles, pancakes, ice cream, you name it you go it, apis jadwiga...........

Thanks to Solan for giving me a chance to try this. I recieved the package yesterday and just couldn’t resist from cracking this open last night. Poured a copper color, like a cognac. Aroma was sweet, some alcohol, sweet and flowery. The taste starts off quite sweet, maple syrup, small alcohol bite, strawberries. Super thick, it sticks to the glass like some kind of lacquer. The best part of this mead, as with all great drinks, is the great lasting finish. I take a sip, swallow, and let the flavor slowly fade. At first I found it slightly too sweet and cloying. But after I finished my first serving, I found myself craving it an hour later, and craving it this morning as well. I didn’t imbibe, and no I’m not an alcoholic, but this is some interesting stuff. I have a feeling I might be back for a re-rate soon.

(Bottle) Cognac colour. Sweet cream cherry and honey aromas. Very sugary palate. Cherry like flavour with honey. Very very sweet.

(Bottled) Deep cognac color with no head. Dried-fruity, sweet and intense, almost malty aroma with oaky woodiness. Intensely sugary and honeyish flavor with some smooth alcohol and raspberries. Extremely thick and sugary-syrupy palate with no carbonation. Very pleasant aroma and flavor, but the sugar wall is too thick to allow sampling more than 4-6cl at once.
