Bottle brown, 750 ml
Appearance: Pours beautiful shiny amber body colour, perfectly clear texture, viscosity is low o medium, quite regular for 1/3 proportion of honey to water, initially rather watery than oily.
Aroma: Kind of strange benzine like alcohol character reminding me of some poorer Meads of american origin, however the fruity side is still nice, spicy notes, especially ginger oriented, some sourness suggesting dry texture, raisin, some leavy notes, old spice, orange peal, not bad despite its initial drawbacks.
Flavour: Rather not very elaborated, made to serve as a winter warmer, so in fact to be mixed with tea or other drink, warming, kind if spicy character, again old spice, some sourness and pure honey sweetness and taste, sweet and quite sticky on palate, finish duration is medium. Not that elaborated as other Meads of Apis.
Palate: Body is medium, texture is sticky, finish feel is sweet, moderately alcoholic with pleasant alcoholic warmth, spicy oriented, slightly lemony and sour with notes of raisin.
