Flavor is lighter with some floral, wildflower honey notes and light fruit. Nice feel. Really not bad, but when you’ve had their Poltorak and Dwojniak, why settle for the weaker stuff? | 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 2, 2009 Deep golden pour with a ton of lace. Aroma was strong sweet honey with a light spice and medium alcohol aroma. Real smooth taste with a sweet, but not too sweet, finish. I detected a little bit of chokeberry juice in the flavor but not too much. I liked this one but I’ve had better. It could have used more flavor in my opinion. ironchefscott (342), portland, Oregon, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Dec 29, 2008 Bottle from kryptic on 8/7/08. Opened at alohaCs 2008 end of the year tasting. For some reason I’ve not been eager to open this. I loved Apis Jadwiga mead, but now I find high ABV sweet beers difficult to drink more than just a small taster. Bring on the light sours please! Kind of woody bourbon back of the throat aroma and throat burn. Some apple in the aroma, like a cider, but its a mead. WeeHeavySD (3000), San Diego (Hillcrest), California, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 29, 2008 Bottle wetherel brought to the holiday tasting at AlohaCs. Pours gold with a bubbly head. Nose is like honey mixed with tree sap. Taste is full of honey but bitter, and less good than other meads from this fantastic meadery. sirPino (862), Zawiercie / Żywiec, Poland

Bottle brown, 750 ml,
Appearance pours light pale golden, yellowish body, perfectly clear texture, not high viscosity, rather more wattery than oily in its texture appearance, body is thin to average,
Aroma distinctively winy aroma, grapes (rather white), raisin, resin, dough, nice, fresh juicy honey, gently flowery, rum, cognac, generally quite strong and moderate dry overall impression, quite assertive,
Flavour when tasted, the first assumption is that it is a highly aromatic mead, front seems moderately wattery and refreshing with gently sweet tongue tip, than comes rather dry oriented flavour with highly aromatic vanilla, resin, raisin, cognac, rum, honey accents perceptable through nose, very nice dryness or even kind of tartness at finish with even more elaborate flowery sweet, vanilla nose, finish duration is quite long,
Palate body is light to medium, texture is wattery to oily, finish feel is slightly sticky with nice balancing tratness, really enjoyable and rather quite light mead with very well hidden alcohol MatSciGuy (637), Rosemount, Minnesota, USA

Lots of chokecherry and golden raisin flavor. A bit dry, boozy, and slightly grapey. mjtedin (8), USA does not count | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 28, 2008 Bottle. Appearance is the color of reddish bronze. Flavor reminded me of sherry. It tasted as if it had been aged and had a musty finish. It had a smooth, slightly syrupy mouthfeel.
