Light golden viscous and very clear. Honey, citrus, floral, light medicine, and melon nose. Heavey in the mouth w/sweet lingering finish. Light red fruit, currant, honey, and citrus flavors. Alcohol noticable but well balanced. Awesome substance!!!

Thanks Dave. The beer pours to a glowing orangish body with nice legs. The aroma is very strong alcoholic honey. The flavor is pretty damn good honey, sweet and juicy. Nice. Very nice. The palate is sugary and damn good.

Clear yellow color with no head. Very strong honey and apple aroma. More of the same in the taste, but mixed with cloves and cinnamon. It’s almost like a mulled mead. Damn tasty!

No surprise that this high-quality mead is by the same maker as <a href=http://www.ratebeer.com/Beer/apis-póltorak-ja Jadwiga, the #1 mead on this site. Pours still with a vermillion/bronze body and forms a wisp of a soapy halo when swirled. Aroma finds a nice oak backdrop to an advanced alcohol presence giving it a whisky-like persona. Carl and I may joke until hell freezes over, but I still wouldn’t know a chokeberry from a dingleberry. Thick in the mouth, while the flavor holds a pleasant, sweet, grapey/raisiny essence over the woodsy honeyness that forms this mead’s base. Sweeter than the TiM S.A meads (Kasztelanski, Slowianski, et. al.) but of the same caliber.

Bottle. Clear amber body, still. Drippy lacing. Crystallized honey aroma with light berry. Simple clean powdered sugar honey with a bit of crystallized, condensed honey - some grapes in the finish.

9/1/07 Tasting at Malt & Vine, Redmond, Wa. Aroma is dark fruit forward followed by true honey character. Appearance is clear gold with great legs on the glass. Flavor is good and complex with raspberry notes that are apparently from the chokeberry addition. Mouthfeel is light bodied, but oddly enough still has a good syrupy character. Overall, this is excellent and the fruit addition is great.

Golden colour, obviously no head as it’s a mead. Rather harsh beginning, slighly too acidic, but the latter taste is awesome. Natural, not too sweet, deep honey flavour, very smooth with herbs & spices notes. Nice, even beer-like malt-or-whatever end. Indeed refreshing, very good mead.
