I had a hard time finding this since they call it the ESB on the tap, but it is technically "ESB Belgian Gold Ale". Anyway. pours a copper with full white head. smooth hoppy aroma. light front to dry finish. hoppy background.

Name: Belgian Golden Ale
Date: 09/22/2007
Mode: Draft
Source: Brewfest, Asheville

hazy dark gold, fine white head, streaky lace, sweet fruity ester aroma with light phenolic spices, thin but creamy body, estery malt flavor is a bit hot, lots of bitterness flows from the spicyness and becomes the dominant character, long bitter finish, too heavy on the phenolics

Pours out a yellow color with a large white head. Aroma is sweet and fruity. Flavor is pretty much the same with a nice touch of spice to it. Over all not a bad brew and rather refreshing.

Yellow, big frothy head. Aroma is apple-y, with some banana and bubble gum notes. Perhaps a bit thin bodied. Flavor is fruity, spicy even a little bit herbal. Clean, crisp finish. Sampled at Asheville Brewgrass 2007.
