Jul 10, 2005 This draft brew from the brewery poured a large sized head of foamy finely sized mostly lasting off-white colored bubbles that left behind a poor lacing. The body contained no carbonation, was transparent and orange in color. Its aroma contained notes of mild malts . Its mouth feel is initially tingly mildly fruity with a lingering tingly palate and a mild smooth vinous aftertaste. Its flavor contained mild vinuous malty doughy notes.

Jun 21, 2005 one of ABC’s better beers. had a defining taste that sets it aside from a lot of the others. strong but smooth with an almost sweet taste.

May 11, 2004 Had this at the Ortlieb’s brewfest. Pours amber, with a very malty taste. Slightly sour, malt, fruit finish that is crisp and clean. A nice maibock.

Jul 24, 2002 Sweet nutty aroma, beautiful deep red cara munich color, slight chocolate nutty with a pleasant balance of bittering. Moderate body with a well rounded finish.
