jehoey (715), Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 10, 2008 poured dark golden color with a half an inch of head. aroma was very light, maybe a little bit of malt. flavor was matly upfront, some toast and biscuity flavors, and dried out quite a bit as the beer finished. lean-medium bodied. excellent for style.
DocLock (4170), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Sep 4, 2008 Poured deep gold with creeamy white head. Nose was grainy pale malt, mild hopcitrus, mild fruit. Tastes crisp, not hefty of palate, with fruity, lemongrassy hopcitric, and bready pale malt flavors, with decent balance. A good example of this style. jcwattsrugger (4045), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Aug 25, 2008 @Market Cross PA-on tap-pours a white head and gold color. Aroma is mild grain, (Hallertau) hops, honey, fruit. Taste is grain/medium malt-caramel, honey, fruit, (Hallertau) hops. Nice. Light side of medium body.
ryan (1707), Beltsville, Maryland, USA Mar 2, 2008 Clear very pale body with a small white head. The nose is honey, bread and herbs. The flavor is honey, herbs, flowers, light pepper and dough. Medium/light body is soft with light carbonation. Probably the best Appalachian beer of the night. dancatts (91), Pennsylvania, USA Oct 14, 2007 Had it at Harrisburg on tap. Lighter color and a slightly hoppy aroma. Tastes similar to a pale ale with less hops.
