Commercial Description:
This India Pale Ale is an exciting beer with a floral in aroma and an incredible hop flavor. The maltiness is increased (over a regular pale ale) to help balance the aggressive hop usage. This contributes to the higher alcohol content as well.

On tap at brewpub in gettysburg had a clear golden color with a bit of lacing. Aroma was big hops. Flavor was citrusy (grapefruit) with a big hop bit in the finish.

Not impressive as far as IPA’s go, but this was the first beer of the sampler that was at least in the ballpark. Lacked a real hoppy punch, but at least you can tell it’s an IPA. The bitter finish was the highlight for me.

Poured a medium reddish color with a small off white head. Mellow grassy nose. Flavors were really quite boring. Some mild grass with a hint of citrus and a little funk. Not undrinkable, but definately a snoozer.

OK ... i was thoroughly unimpressed. Floral and grassy, yeah. Citrus and pine? I don’t think so. Incredibly hopped? Again, I don’t think so. Some malt but not much, some bitter finish but not much hop in the taste, no west coast hoppiness, no complexity. Really unimpressive representative of an American IPA. Next to a Stone or a Victory this is drain pour.

Cask! at ABC brewpub. Red copper with a nice eggshell head. Served appropriately room temp. American hops (citrus fruit) on the nose. Quite flavorfully hoppy and extremely smooth. Milky lemon grass, fresh. Big swiss cheese hole lacing. Quite tasty.

Pours a golden yellowish color with a medium laced head. Aroma is slightly hoppy with hints of faint pine needles and lemon citrus. Flavor is hoppy and slightly malty with hints of pine and lemon citrus. Not bad.

Almost no aroma. Copper color with a soapy head that lasts. Hoppy IPA taste, but weak. Seemed watered down. Nothing exceptional here.

This was a decent attempt at an IPA but nothing that great. I had it at the beer festival in split rock yesterday so maybe my tastes were a bit off.
