Commercial Description:
This India Pale Ale is an exciting beer with a floral in aroma and an incredible hop flavor. The maltiness is increased (over a regular pale ale) to help balance the aggressive hop usage. This contributes to the higher alcohol content as well.

2008-08-16. Hazy golden body with a small of white head. Mild muted aroma, light citrusy hops. (6+) Similar flavour, mild grainy core, light citrus, citrus sees, light astringency. (6+) Average palate. Okay. Bottle, Coles IPA Festival, Buffalo

Golden color with a soapy white head that leaves pretty good lacing. Smell has a little bit of a nice citrus zest, but is overpowered by some sulfur-like aromas. Initially has a nice grapefruit taste but sadly it kicks into a strange metallic, buttery, and sulfury taste. Lighter than medium body with medium carbonation. I wanted to like this one more, but I just couldn’t seem to get into it.

Bottle. Pours clear gold, fluffy white head. Aroma is citrus, malt, some floral. Flavor is malty, metallic, bitter, and alcoholic. Not a good blend. I would avoid this.

on tap in gettysburg... clear gold with some brownish hues and lots of drippy white lacing. floral aroma noted with grapefruit, orange, light pine, grass and caramel a smidge of caramel. the flavor is mostly caramel, grain and honey and touches of pine, citrus and dryness from hops. bittersweet finish. medium body seems rather rich and smooth since there is little bitterness to ’thin’ it out.

(abbreviated review, due to short notes) - Light hop, thin mouthfeel and weak taste, slightly sweet.

Pours a clear orange golden color with a thick foamy head. Some excellent lacing. The hop nose is very heavy on the floral. A little honey and brown sugar as well. The flavor is actually mostly malty. Honey with a little flowery bitterness in the finish. There is a strange rusty metallic flavor as well. Perhaps this bottle is a little bit old. The hop flavor is really weak.

12 oz. bottle courtesy/split with Naka. Pours golden with amber hues and has a foamy, two finder white head that looks rocky. Grassy, floral hop nose, slight caramel. Decent lacing. Bottle seems a bit old. Bitter with a little hop flavor, slight metallic and some astringency at the end. Need to try this one again as it has some serious promise.

Bottle: Transparent bright copper orange pour has a large, spotty-lacing off-white head. Aroma of sweet caramel sugar and some mildly earthy piny hops. Starts lightly sweet and fairly full bodied with a decent grapefruity citrusy hop balance before a smooth, bittersweet finish. A decent and drinkable IPA.
