Commercial Description:
This India Pale Ale is an exciting beer with a floral in aroma and an incredible hop flavor. The maltiness is increased (over a regular pale ale) to help balance the aggressive hop usage. This contributes to the higher alcohol content as well.

Bottle from adrian and served in my GI IPA tulip: (Warning, have a glass at the ready after opening, a foamer) Pours a muddy orange brown hue with a mostly lasting frothy head and left good lace upon the glassware. The aroma has notes of grapefruit and crabapple esters, moderately phenolic, pepper and clove, toasted and biscuity malt and some mineral water. The taste is a simple hop bitterness, citric acidity and mild grainy background. Light hop spice and spruce towards the finish. The mouth feel is chalky and metallic, moderate carbonation. An okay brew without a lot of depth, run of mill IPA.

On tap in Harrisburg. Copper pour with small white head. Hops smell was there. Taste was smooth up front and a little bitter finish. Not as bitter as I like but overall good beer.

On tap in Gettysburg. Pour was copper with a white head. Strong hop aroma with plenty of fruit present. Flavor was very hoppy with plenty of bitterness in the finish. Again, citrus was present and some malt backing was there for sweetness. Mouthfeel medium with decent carbonation.

Bottle. Pours copper with ivory head. The aroma is pineapple and grapefruit, some tart green apple, and some grainy sweetness. The flavor is grapefruit and graham crackers, with a slightly soapy note in there. There are a few alcohol and pine notes scattered about. Ok, but not superior.

Growler, courtesy of LordMaynard. Clear pale body with a small white head. The nose is light with honey and citrus. The flavor is lightly sweet, lightly hoppy with honey, cotton candy and grapefruit. Medium body is round with moderate carbonation.

An IPA with less bitterness than a few others I have tried. Taste was mostly pale with a slight bitterness afterwards. Had a very strong aroma of hops.

On draft at the Gettysburgh location a few months ago. For the style it was below average for me. Not bad, but not great. Citrus and hops in both the aroma and flavor. Mildly sweet. Dry finish.
